Postcard Friendship Friday: Hope KS 1914

The little guy on top of the car is my Uncle Melvin.
Holding on to him is his dad (my grandfather) Bert Sack.
The buxom lady at the right is my Grandma Emma, and
the two boys in bib overalls are my dad and his brother Roy.
The rest, I believe, are some of Emma's Swedish cousins.

Happy PFF!

Italo, I have TONS of old photos (some of which I've posted here previously), but am momentarily without a scanner. (Have one, but can't connect it to the new computer yet.) So stay tuned - there will be more!

Is this a real photo card or a photograph? Just curious. I like it!

The headless horse adds a bit of humor.

Hey! Hold onto that little boy!!
:-)

Sorry about the horse. Pretty sure he hadn't lost his head in the original! This is a photograph, btw, not a studio postcard like some of the images in earlier posts.

Old photo's like this one are priceless! I often think of the amount of work the Photographer had to put into producing those beautiful images - digital camera's have us spoiled nowadays.

I love the old family photo. I was thinking recently about how many old pictures are posed in front of the family auto. We should do that more often ourselves. Our ancestors may get a kick out of seeing our old cars and clothes.
