Flea Market Saturday #5: More Summer Treats

Even with AC (or aircon, as it's called in the UK), nothing says "cool" in mid-July on this side of the Equator like white-on-white.

And for what it's worth, "Flea Market Saturday" in German is Flohmarkt Samstag.
I learned that at Jade's White and Shabby, but I could've simply flipped any FMS post to Deutsch (German) in the nifty translator I installed here several weeks ago. Jade has one too, but you'll have to scroll down a bit. She lives in Bavaria where in addition to standard German, some natives speak Austro-Bavarian, a High German language that isn't the same as German/Deutsch.


The plate shelf at Melly's Shabby Homestyles isn't totally white-on-white, but still looks quite cool and refreshing on a hot summer day.

Melly lives in Germany, so naturally the posts are in German, but include abbreviated English versions.



The adorable colander at left is at Vintage White Magic, another Bavaria-based blog written in German.

Neither Shabby Homestyles or Vintage White Magic have translator widgets, but the photos at both are definitely worth the visit.

How could I not be enchanted with Marley & Lockyer whose owner Vanessa Lockyer loves all things white, French, and also designs pillow covers based on "bus rolls" with mileage to two of my favorite cities, London and Oxford?
